With a careful effort to get up after launch, you can generally soar once you are above the ridge. Difficult but possible to do XC flights from here. Occasional glass off. It grows on you, like a fungus.
35-45 Minutes hike from end of Locust St. in Boulder. Three launch sites, with a maximum of 600 ft. vertical. Ample, grassy area by the parking area. West end of Locust St. in the Northern end of Boulder, west of Broadway St. United States Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association. membership with rmhpa.org
As always in Colorado on the Front Range, be careful of westerly winds and over development.
